What All-on-X means

One fixed set of teeth. Four implants.

All-on-X replaces all the teeth in an upper or lower arch with a full set of fixed teeth supported by four dental implants. The new teeth stay in place—you do not remove them like a regular denture.

Who it may help

A fresh start when teeth are failing.

This option may be considered when most or all teeth in an arch are missing, badly damaged, uncomfortable, or no longer dependable.

Every mouth is different. Your 3D scan and examination help Dr. Shnayder decide whether this approach fits your needs and whether any extra healing time may be needed.

Your treatment journey

What the process feels like, step by step.

You will know what is happening at each stage, which dentist is handling it, and what comes next.

  1. 01
    CONSULTATION

    I meet with Dr. Shnayder.

We review a 3D CT scan together, talk through my concerns and goals, and discuss the surgery and each step of the plan.

  2. 02
    PLANNING

My new smile is carefully planned.

If I choose to move forward, the team takes impressions and photos. Dr. Shnayder then plans the case in detail and can review the plan with my restorative dentist if they would like.

  3. 03
    SURGERY DAY

My surgical treatment is completed in one visit.

Dr. Shnayder removes the failing teeth, adds bone grafting if it is needed, and places the four implants.

  4. 04
    MOST COMMON PATH

If the implants are stable, I receive temporary fixed teeth.

The team takes a digital scan after surgery. The lab uses it to design and 3D-print my temporary fixed teeth, which are delivered the next day in most cases.

  5. 05
IF MORE HEALING TIME IS NEEDED

If an implant is not stable, it heals first.

When an implant does not have primary stability, it is left undisturbed to heal for about four months. The implants are then exposed, multi-unit abutment (MUA) attachments are placed, and impressions are taken so the temporary prosthesis can be made.

  6. 06
    FINAL TEETH

My restorative dentist completes my smile.

After the implants have healed, my restorative dentist makes and delivers the final set of teeth.
