Prepare the mouth for a more stable, comfortable prosthesis.

Before a partial or complete denture is made, small surgical changes may improve the shape and support of the tissues beneath it.

Care can include smoothing sharp or uneven bone, reducing a prominent ridge, removing excess tissue, or exposing an impacted tooth.

The oral surgeon and restoring dentist coordinate the surgical contours with the planned prosthesis so healing and fit can be considered together.
